ARRESTED: John Stamos For DUI

John Stamos was arrested and issued a citation on Friday night for driving under the influence. Buzz has it that he was so out of it ... police took him straight to a hospital.

As per reports, Beverly Hills officers responded to a call around 7:45 pm of a silver Mercedes driving erratically, and when cops stopped the vehicle ... they felt Stamos needed immediate medical attention. He was driving by himself.

Stamos was transported to a hospital by the paramedics. Police followed, and cited him for misdemeanor DUI while he was getting treatment.

The actor is starring in Fox's new family sitcom ''Grandfathered'' this fall, and is also set to appear in Netflix's upcoming Fuller House sequel.
