Apart from writing and directing films, Anurag Kashyap is known to do cameos in some of them as well. The renowned filmmaker has done small roles in films such as, Black Friday, No Smoking, Dev D, Gulaal, I Am, Luck By Chance etc. He is known to do walk-on parts or sometimes just be a part of a film because a friend is making it.
Last year, he was seen playing ‘Bunty Singh’ in Tigmanshu Dhulia‘s film Shagird, which had Nana Patekar in the lead. However, looks like Anurag is returning the favour.
Anurag has cast Tigmanshu in his most ambitious project Gangs Of Wasseypur that was selected for Cannes this year. It was apparently Tigmanshu’s built, who is an NSD graduate that made Kashyap rope him in as Suryadeo Singh, the mafia lord of Dhanbad.
Anurag was quoted saying, "I will not do what Tigmanshu Sir did to me. I have given him the most important role in the film!"
