Anurag Kashyap will be seen once again acting onscreen, and this time for the director's old friend Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The duo have collaborated on multiple projects earlier, including Gangs of Wasseypur, are now coming together once again but this time, Anurag won't be going behind the camera to direct Nawaz. Anurag who has made appearances in multiple films already will be sharing screen space with the actor in Bole Chudiyan, which marks the directorial debut of Nawaz's brother Shamas Siddiqui.
In a recent interview confirming the same, Anurag shared that yes, he will be doing the film, but that’s all he knows for now. The director added that he agreed to do the film as this was the first time the actor has asked him to do anything and he trusts him. He further said that he loves Nawaz and the actor will do anything for him as well. Anurag stated that when requested, Nawaz flew to Bareilly for just a day to shoot the Mukkabaaz song, Mushkil Hai Apna Mel Priye. Anurag is yet to lock his shooting dates for the film, which was in the news recently after a fallout between its former lead actress, Mouni Roy and producer Rajesh Bhatia. The actress exited the project unceremoniously stating disagreements with the producer as the reason for her calling it quits. While the makers stated that it happened because of Mouni's alleged unprofessional attitude.
Anurag and Nawaz shares a great rapport with each other and has collaborated for several projects in the past, Anurag has casted Nawaz for another cameo in his 2007 film, Black Friday, as a wedding band singer for the song Emotional Attyachar in Dev D, Raman Raghav 2.0 and many more.
