Anurag Basu Made 'Jagga Jasoos' For His Daughters As They Didn't Like Barfi!

Though Anurag Basu won many a heart with his much-acclaimed film Barfi!, he failed to impress his own daughters with his Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra-Ileana D'Cruz starrer and to make up for that he came up with Jagga Jasoos!

We hear that when Basu's daughters saw Barfi!, during its first trial, they didn't like the film much and when they expressed their opinion to their dad, he promised them that the next film that he would make will be something that they would thoroughly enjoy and to fulfil that promise he made his Katrina Kaif-Ranbir starrer Jagga Jasoos.

Confirming the same, Basu stated, "The year Barfi! released, the film was loved by all and won all the top awards, but one award that eluded was from my kids. My daughters didn't quite enjoy the film and that got me thinking about what didn't work for them! Meanwhile, immediately after the first screening of Barfi! Ranbir asked me about the next film and I had few other stories that I wanted to make and Jagga Jasoos was one of them though planned for much later. But after the reaction of my daughters to Barfi!, I pushed all my other projects and preponed Jagga, knowing kids and families alike would enjoy the story."

We hope this time around Basu will get a thumbs-up from his darling daughters as well.
