Anuj Thapan's Mother Withdraws Her Plea For CBI Probe Against Salman Khan; To File A New Petition

Salman Khan House Firing Case :

Salman Khan's house firing case has had two major updates recently. One is that the police have arrested the fifth accused in the case, and the other is regarding Anuj Thapan's death.

Anuj was arrested as one of the four accused in the case earlier, who died of suicide in the lockup. His family demanded a CBI probe, suspecting his death. However, Anuj's mother has now withdrawn her plea for a CBI probe and case against Salman Khan in the Punjab and Haryana courts.

Well, she is now aiming for a new petition. The reason for the withdrawal of the plea was having a similar plea already pending in court. Logically, in order to file a new plea on the same matter, one has to cancel the earlier plea.

Earlier, Anuj was said to have committed suicide on May 1, 2024, in lockup. The police took him to the hospital, and he was declared dead by the doctors. The police had arrested him for supplying weapons to the alleged shooters, Sagal Pal and Vicky Gupta.
