publive-imageAnniyan (2005) starring Vikram and Sadha was a super hit and has gained a cult following. Vikram's performance and Shankar's direction have received immense praise from critics as well as audience. It wasn't shocking when we learnt that the film will be remade in Hindi because its Hindi dubbed version Aparichit enjoys a great run on TV. Expectedly, the original director Shankar announced a Hindi remake with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. But it wasn't that easy because the producers had arguments with Shankar and now the producer of the original film has confirmed another remake in Hindi language only.

Speaking about the project, producer Aascar Ravichandran said, "I am planning to remake the film in Hindi with a top Bollywood actor and Jackie Chan, and will start next April''. This surely raises many questions and the latest reports suggest that Shankar and Ranveer's Hindi version is now delayed.

A source revealed to the media portal, "Earlier Shankar was supposed to finish his multilingual film with Ram Charan by the end of this year and then head straight to the Anniyan remake with Ranveer Singh from March-April 2022. However, that's not going to happen now as Shankar has got one more project to finish before he moves to a new film. The filmmaker will resume his long-delayed Kamal Haaaan film, Indian 2 after completing the current schedule of his Ram Charan action-packed entertainer, RC15."
