Anjali Arora's Maa Sita Look From Ramayana Out:
A fresh cinematic adaptation of the epic Ramayana has surfaced, and this time, social media influencer and dancer Anjali Arora is stepping into the iconic role of Maa Sita. The first look from the film was recently revealed, showing the Kacha Badam song diva dressed in traditional saffron attire, holding a basket of fruits, and standing against a rural backdrop.

While the project has garnered attention due to Anjali's massive online following and viral fame from the Kacha Badam trend, the casting choice has triggered mixed reactions across social media platforms. Many netizens have expressed their disapproval, calling the casting “misfit” and “miscast,” arguing that the sacred character of Sita demands a more seasoned actor. Some even speculated that the image was AI-generated or part of a spoof, given its sudden emergence and highly stylized look.

The project, which is separate from the high-budget Ramayana film being directed by Nitesh Tiwari—featuring Sai Pallavi as Sita alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Yash—appears to be a smaller production aiming to capitalize on the ongoing buzz around mythological stories.
While some fans have defended Anjali, stating that everyone deserves a chance to prove their acting chops, the majority seem skeptical about whether she can truly embody the grace, depth, and divinity associated with the revered character of Maa Sita.
