Animal is tearing apart record books like a mad animal. It's on a Beast mode at the box office. When most of the movies go down on the weekdays, Animal is doing something unthinkable by creating new records despite a clash, an "A" certificate, and a long runtime.
Today, Animal broke the record for the biggest non-holiday Tuesday collections in Bollywood. The film has surpassed previous records by a Huge Margin. The Tuesday numbers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer have set new records for Bollywood.
Animal (Hindi) has become the first Bollywood movie to cross 25 crore and 30 crore nett on non-holiday Tuesday, while the all-India figures have registered 35 crore nett for the first time in Bollywood history on such a Tuesday. It might even touch the 35 crore nett in Hindi and 40 crore nett in all languages if the late-night shows can give that extra push.
The previous record was held by Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan in Nett numbers and Aamir Khan's Dangal in gross figures, and Animal has outgrossed both of them by margin.
