Animal is off to a flying start at the global box office. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's crime action drama has beaten all the records for any Bollywood movie that had a healthy clash at the box office (excluding small films).Animal's collection in Hindi markets is set to cross 50-51 crore nett and 62 crore gross marks. These are early estimates and could go a little higher too. The film is off to a bumper start in the Telugu and Tamil versions, as the collections are set to add 11-12 crore nett to its all-India total.Animal will comfortably cross the 60 crore nett mark at the domestic box office, including all languages. It remains to be seen if it can touch the 65+70 crore nett if the night shows push it a little, which is difficult due to its runtime and limited shows.Ranbir Kapoor's previous biggest opener was Sanju (2018), with 34 crore nett on day 1, and Animal is almost close to its double in all-India figures. Animal is also Ranbir's biggest opener in overseas markets, with gross numbers coming in the range of $4 million or more. This makes it a huge opening day at the worldwide box office. The global total of the film for day one is likely to fall in the range of 105-110 crore in the worst case from here on.
