Aneet Padda Next To Be A Love Story By Maneesh Sharma

After winning hearts in Saiyaara, actress Aneet Padda is set to headline her next big project, and this time it will be a love story directed by Tiger 3 filmmaker Maneesh Sharma. The film is being produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is expected to go on floors in the first half of 2026.

A source close to the development told Mid-Day, "Producer Aditya Chopra is keenly following the two young actors’ careers. After the success of ‘Saiyaara’, Aneet has emerged as the face of romance for Gen Z. Aditya felt she would be perfect for Maneesh’s love story."

The yet-untitled film is said to be set in Punjab, with the casting of the male lead still underway. “With ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ [2010] and ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ [2013], Maneesh showed that he excels in telling stories of the youth. This one is based in Punjab. The male lead is yet to be locked. The film will roll in the first half of 2026,” the source further revealed.

Maneesh Sharma, who is celebrated for his fresh take on romance and youth-driven narratives, is returning to the genre after more than a decade. For Aneet Padda, the project marks her second major outing after Saiyaara, which not only impressed at the box office but also introduced her as a promising new face in Bollywood. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see who will join her as the romantic lead in this upcoming YRF project. The leading male actor will be finalised soon.
