The re-release of Andaz Apna Apna wasn’t well promoted, and it is reflecting in the box office numbers. The current scenario in the country is also responsible for the film's poor performance, as the audience is not interested in going to cinemas with the same enthusiasm. The re-release of Andaz Apna Apna has turned out to be a bigger flop than the original release.

Rajkumar Santoshi's classic comedy collected approximately 90 lakhs in its opening weekend during the re-run. The film had collected Rs. 92 lakhs in its opening weekend at the time of its original release. If we consider inflation and adjust the numbers for the original release, the film should have collected approximately 19 crore nett in today's time (around 10 lakh footfalls). The re-release has hardly sold half the number of tickets.

The Aamir Khan and Salman Khan starrer has performed better than some other re-releases like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Karan Arjun, which were hits during their original runs. Out of all the successful films, only Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has managed a successful re-release in recent times, whereas Sanam Teri Kasam, Tumbbad, and Laila Majnu were flops during their original runs. The original run of Andaz Apna Apna ended with a disappointing total of Rs. 5.29 crore nett, and considering the current trend, it seems unlikely that the re-release will reach those numbers despite ticket prices being 20 times higher.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Andaz Apna Apna has become a cult classic over the years. The film stars an ensemble cast, including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and others. The characters, such as Amar, Prem, Crime Master Gogo, Teja, and Robert, have become iconic. Perhaps this Gen-Z simply didn’t know about them or wasn't interested.
