Amrita Rao And Madhuri Dixit Remember MF Husain On His 1st Death Anniversary

Celebrated artist Maqbool Fida Husain passed away on this day, a year ago. His life had been embroiled in controversies and had lived the last five years of his life in exile at Qatar.

He was 96, when he passed away in London.

And on this day, his famous muses remembered the legendary painter.

His favourite Madhuri Dixit, with whom he had made a film Gaja Gamini was quoted saying, "Making a movie was his dream and we finally made Gaja Gamini. Husainji was my true well-wisher, a great artiste and a good friend."

Another actress Amrita Rao was also fortunate to be painted on canvas by M.F.Husain. She was quoted saying, "I feel Husain sahab is alive. His emphatic 'hello' still reverberates in my ears."
