Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was hacked on June 10 midnight. The hackers replaced Amitabh Bachchan’s profile picture with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and the account bio was too changed.
The account bio of actor read,
“Actor … well at least some are STILL saying so !! Love Pakistan.”
The first tweet after the cyber attack, which occurred around 11.40 pm on Monday reads,
“This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here. As Ayyildiz Tim Turkish Cyber Army,”
This tweet was also pinned by the hackers.
They further posted photographs of the Pakistan and Turkish flags with a tweet that reads,
“The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid.”
They also changed the cover photo of Bachchan’s account which displayed the promo picture of the cyber hacking group with an eagle in flight.
Immediately, the Mumbai police came in action and took appropriate measures against the hacking within an hour, the tweets from his account were deleted, the display picture and cover photo were removed. The account also now shows his original bio.
The same group had previously hacked Twitter accounts of actors Shahid Kapoor and Anupam Kher among other.
