Actress Taapsee Pannu, who had shared screen space with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Pink, in which he played a lawyer, will be next seen playing a lawyer herself in upcoming film Mulk, which revolves around Islamophobia and we hear that Taapsee had the Big B’s character Deepak as her reference point.
Confirming the same, Taapsee said, “On celluloid, Bachchan sir’s character and role in Pink and his portrayal of a stern yet convincing lawyer for me was the best point of reference. Since I have worked with him on the film in 2016, I had a good point of reference of how he executed the role. While of course, we are diverse as actors and the kind of role I essay and situation my character faces is much different, there are still nuances of the role which I picked up.”
Also starring Rishi Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, Rajat Kapoor and others, Mulk is slated to release on August 3.
