PEN India is all set to come up with an animation film, Mahabharat and has roped in 15 Bollywood stars to dub for the film. Interestingly, each character of the movie will look like the actor dubbing for it.
While names of the thirteen Bollywood actors are still under wraps, Amitabh Bachchan and Sunny Deol's names have been declared by the makers. Bachchan has lent his baritone for the character of Bheeshma Pitamah and Sunny will dub for Bheem. Big B not only gave his valuable inputs but also did the recording for free.
"Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to the role of Bheeshma Pitamah in our animated Mahabharat. He finished the entire recording in one hour, which was very shocking for us. He has such a command over the language that he even corrected minor grammatical mistakes in the dialogues," producer Jayantilal Gada from PEN India was quoted saying.
"He did not charge us for his work. Our entire team is grateful to him. We could not have done the film without him as we can't imagine any other voice for the role of Bheeshma Pitamah," he further added.
Giving more details about the flick, Gada said, "There are 15 major Bollywood stars involved with the project. Each character has been made to look like the actor dubbing for it."
The Rs. 50 crore project is slated to release in October this year.
