Amitabh Bachchan impressed everyone with his superb performance in Nag Ashwin's sci-fi action drama, Kalki 2898 AD. The megastar is set to replicate the same phenomenon with the upcoming sequel and is ready to face the camera once again.
According to the latest report in Mid-Day, the Sholay actor will start filming for the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD in May 2025. It will be a brief schedule lasting a month, and he will rejoin the shoot with other actors later.

"He begins shooting in May, and his screen time has been increased. Filming is expected to continue until June 15, and after that, Amitabh is anticipated to kick off the next season of KBC in July. The upcoming edition of the quiz show premieres in August," a source confirmed the update to the portal.
Bachchan will be seen in the role of Ashwatthama, and preparations will commence by the end of this month. "The sequel will advance his and Bhairava/Karna’s [Prabhas] story, and their role in rescuing Sumathi’s [Deepika Padukone] unborn child. It will be grander than the last one, as Prabhas and Bachchan also confront the evil Supreme Commander, Yaskin [Kamal Haasan]. So, three titans will clash," the source added.
