Amitabh Bachchan, known for his baritone and a powerful screen presence, will soon be a part of a film based on the Mahabharata, in which he will be seen essaying the role of Pitamaha Bhishma, a loyal warrior and guardian of Hastinapur in upcoming multilingual film Randamoozham, which is based on a Malayalam novel.
For those who do not know this, the novel ‘Randamoozham’ is a retelling of the Indian epic Mahabharata from the perspective of Bhima, the second Pandava. The story deviates from the traditional Mahabharata story as it avoids the divine elements of the ancient epic and re-represents the characters and events realistically. From what we have learned, South superstar Mohanlal will essay the role of Bhima in the film, which will be made on a big budget and will reportedly be made on the scale of Baahubali.
Bachchan will be next seen playing the central character in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 3.
