Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was supposed to work with National Award-winning director Nagraj Manjule in Jhund, a film about a retired sports teacher starting a slum soccer movement, has reportedly walked out of the project.
A source shared that Bachchan had committed himself to the film last year, but the shooting kept getting delayed without any clarity and as he had to give those dates to other filmmakers and was unable to wait any longer, he decided to opt out. Manjule, who had directed the 2016 blockbuster Sairat, was slated to make his Bollywood debut with Jhund.
Bachchan will be next seen sharing screen space with Rishi Kapoor in Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out.
