This is the biggest shutdown in the industry since 1960 and will cost a lot to many big productions that have come to a halt now.The Writers Guild of America has been on strike since May 2023, and the fight is still on. The strike was caused by the demand for higher wages and protection against AI. Now, the actors have joined the strike for the same reasons: pay and the AI threat.
