The tweet came on the same day when Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's latest song, Leke Prabhu Ka Naam, was released. The Twitteratis, especially Salman fans, started abusing Malik for trolling the song, and the social media trend made headlines.

He quote tweeted a media portal's news to clarify that he wasn't talking about Salman Khan's song. He shared, "झूठी खबरें ना फ़ैलाओ 💆🏻‍♂️" (Don't spread fake news).

In the next tweet, he re-shared the same controversial tweet and wrote, "Yeh ek statement hai jo kaafi hadd tak sach hai, aur yeh delete nahi hoga, na iski koi explanation di jaayegi 🙂 Yeh lo khud hi retweet kar deta hoon taaki koi yeh na bole tweet delete kiya tha 🫨 Ab aap iska jo matlab nikaalna chaahe, nikaaliye. Kill is ruling at the box office. The film has kept the strong hold going on the weekdays, despite competition from Kalki 2898 AD and rain affecting business in the Mumbai and Maharashtra regions.

Kill clocked in 1.24 crore nett on Wednesday, taking its total over the 10 crore nett mark. The audiences are loving the film and hailing it as the best action film in Indian cinema. The most highlighted part is the action sins between Lakshya and Raghav Juyal that people want to watch in repeat mode.KillKill has found appreciation from audiences, and the numbers are proving it.
