Alpha Gets a New Release Date:

The upcoming spy film Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, has gotten a new release date. The makers have officially announced that the film will now arrive in theatres on 10th July 2026. See the new poster below:

Earlier, the film was scheduled to release in April 2026. However, the date had to be changed after Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Battle of Galwan locked the same release window. To avoid a major box-office clash, the producers of Alpha decided to shift their release date.

According to reports, the team felt that moving the release would give the film a better opportunity at the box office. With two big films targeting the same period, the makers preferred to take a safer route and choose another suitable date for their theatrical launch. Now, even Galwan has been shifted from that date. 

Currently, the film is in its final stage of production. Only a small shooting schedule remains before the project is officially wrapped up. Once filming is completed, the team will move ahead with post-production work, including editing, visual effects and music.

Since the remaining work is expected to be completed soon, the producers felt that 10th July 2026 would be the perfect date to bring the film to audiences. The new release window also allows the team enough time to properly finish the film and promote it.

Alpha brings together Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh as female spies, while Bobby Deol plays the main antagonist. Anil Kapoor will be seen as the agency mentor. The film is directed by Shiv Rawail and serves as the next chapter in YRF's spy-univererse. The previous film in the universe, War 2, flopped badly at the box office, so the box office results of this movie are very important for the future of the franchise.
