Pushpa Part One: The Rise (2021) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024) have taken Allu Arjun's stardom to a whole new level. Both films became pan-India blockbusters, achieving record-breaking business in the Hindi market. The last film in the Pushpa franchise grossed over Rs. 750 crore nett just from the Hindi version and over 1,600 crore at the worldwide box office. Therefore, the anticipation for Pushpa 3 is sky-high.

During a recent event, producer Ravi Shankar made an announcement regarding the release date of Pushpa 3. The third film in the Pushpa franchise is titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, and it will be released in 2028, according to the producer.

"Pushpa 3 is definitely on! Allu Arjun is currently working on two films with director Atlee Kumar and another one with Trivikram Srinivas. 'Pushpa 3' will come after these two films. He’ll need at least two years to complete the two projects," said Shankar while speaking to the media at the event.

He also mentioned that Pushpa 2 took longer than expected and was postponed multiple times, but that won't happen with the third installment. "We won’t delay things as we did earlier, but we hope to return quickly in three years, so the film will arrive sometime in 2028," the producer assured fans.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule featured Allu Arjun in the lead role as Pushpa Raj, while Rashmika Mandanna played his wife, Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil reprised his role as Inspector Shekhawat. The third film will hopefully see these three actors coming together again, along with a new villain as hinted at in the ending scene of Pushpa 2.
