Alia Bhatt to Skip Cannes 2025 Opening Ceremony:
Alia Bhatt has chosen to delay her much-anticipated debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. This decision comes amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan, prompting her team to reassess international travel plans. Alia was expected to attend Cannes as a global ambassador for a leading beauty brand, but in light of current national concerns, she opted to prioritize sensitivity over spectacle. While it’s uncertain if she’ll participate later in the festival, her gesture for now is in respect for the nation.

"As the L'Oreal ambassador, Alia was supposed to make her Cannes debut. She was slated to attend the grand opening ceremony tonight, for which she had to fly over the weekend. However, there is a possibility of the Jigra actress attending the event later as the situation normalizes. "The festival is 11 days long. Of course, there were several activities planned around her today and tomorrow, but she is still contemplating whether she can make it in the coming days. It will also depend on her schedule back home," added the source.
