Coronavirus has created havoc across the globe and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enforced a nationwide lockdown to contain the deadly pandemic. He has also urged citizens to contribute towards the PM CARES fund and now, Alia Bhatt has pledged contribution towards the cause.
Alia appreciated the government’s effort and announced that she would be contributing to both PM CARES and Chief Minister Relief Fund Maharashtra. However, like Katrina Kaif she has also not announced the amount that she would be contributing.
The actress wrote, “At a time of great difficulty, while the nation is in lockdown, the Central and State governments are working tirelessly to combat Covid-19. I salute the efforts of all those on the frontlines who are putting themselves at risk so the rest of us stay safe. I also pledge contributions to the PM-Cares Fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra) as a gesture of my support.”
Alia will be next seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra.
