Alia Bhatt makes history! 

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has made HISTORY! She just won her 6th Filmfare Best Actress award for har performance in Jigra, surpassing legends like Meena Kumari, Nargis, Nutan and others. With this, she sets a new record as the actress with most Filmfare Best Actress awards. 

Before this, Alia had won Best Actress (Leading Role) awards for: Udta Punjab (2016), Raazi (2018), Gully Boy (2019), Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023). She also won Best Actress (Critics) for Highway (2014).

In doing so, Alia now ranks above or ahead of classic greats in this specific Filmfare Best Actress tally:

• Meena Kumari – 4

• Vidya Balan – 4 

Alia has also created a history with the first ever hat-trick for best actress winner in Filmfare history. Previously, followed by Meena Kumari (1954–1955), Jaya Bachchan (1974–1975), Shabana Azmi (1984–1985), Rani Mukerji (2005–2006), and Vidya Balan (2012–2013) missed the hat-tricks.
