Recently Alia Bhatt has started shooting for her much anticipated film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. Post which, the actress recently made it to the headlines, when yesterday she had shared a picture on her Instagram story, where she can be seen resting on her bed with her cat looking into the camera. She captioned the post , “Selfie time with mommy cause she’s hurt her back and has nothing better to do at 2am..” “Eddie and mommy (2020)”.
After this post, several speculations started around the actress’ ill heath, where several entertainment portals started writing varied reasons behind her injury. Some even mentioned that the actress got hurt while shooting for her upcoming next, Gangubai Kathiawadi, on its set. Putting rest to all such rumours and speculation, Alia today took to her social media and posted an Insta story, where she refused to have got any injuries while shooting on her set. She further mentioned that it was an old injury that acted up. The actress also requested the media to clarify things before printing long articles about something.
Alia wrote, “To all those articles out there saying that I have hurt myself on the sets of my film.. they are NOT true..This is an old injury that has been acting up for a while and just gave way one day at HOME.. No accident of nothing.. pls pls do clarify next time before printing long long articles on what happened to me.. Having said that, thanks to few days of complete rest and being horizontal I’m back in action and am resuming shoot from today! Thank you for all the get well soon messages as I have got well very, very soon,”
Alia recently took the Internet by stir, after releasing her much intriguing first look from her next film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, playing the titular role. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film will revolve around a brothel owner, named Gangubai, of Mumbai’s red-light area, Kamathipura, who eventually became popular and had her posters all around the area. She was also said to be dealing with the notorious gangsters as her clients. The film is said to be an adaptation of a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens Of Mumbai. The film went on floors in December 2019 and it will release on September 11.
