Airlift shoot is over. In a late hours shoot last evening, the film was wrapped up. Akshay Kumar and other actors participated in the shoot of the mega film which is set to release in less than two months from now.
Confirms our source attached to the film, "Yes, the film's shoot is over. It has been one of the more spread out films starring Akshay Kumar, due to the scale, setting and canvas involved. The teaser has pretty much set the tone that it is a big film in the making. It was all a part of the plan that while the film is still being completed, the promotion would kick-start."
So far, the response to the two minute long teaser of the Raja Menon directed film has been overwhelming.
"The teaser was launched 10 days back and it has already garnered over 5 million online views. What is remarkable is the number of Thumbs Up that it has received. With over 40000 likes and just around 1000 dislikes, the film has an astonishing acceptance percentage of over 97%! This is unprecedented."
Such one sided all around positive response for the film is superb not just for Akshay Kumar starrers but also majority of Bollywood biggies that have even turned out to big hits in 2015.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan (91%), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (87%) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (94%) are the biggest grossers of 2015 so far and their likes, while being superb, are still lesser than Airlift. In fact the film, which is backed by Nikhil Advani, is seeing a better response to the promo than Akshay's own Baby (91%) and Gabbar Is Back (92%), which were two of his biggest grossers of the year," an observer adds.
Well, the start is goof for Airlift and now that the film moves on to the post production, one looks forward to the eventual outcome on the big screen once it releases all over on the Republic Day Weekend of 22nd January.
