Neeraj Pandey's con caper Special 26 starring Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee, which revolves around a bunch of con-men looting rich businessmen by pretending to be CBI officials, will be remade in four South languages now, claim sources!

Buzz has it that the film will be made in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada and that actor-director Thiagarajan will be directing the four remakes. The South remake of the film will have Prashant play the role played by Akshay whereas Prakash Raj will be seen essaying the role played by Manoj Bajpayee.

Incidentally, the film was based on a real-life case, in which a con-man and his team impersonated CBI officials and 'executed a raid’ on a well-known jewellery showroom.
