Akshay Kumar, Rana Dagubbati
Akshay Kumar and Rana Daggubati are teaming up, for the very first time, for director Farhad Samji's Housefull 4 and while the film's team wrapped up the principal photography a few months ago, the makers will be shooting a special qawwali number, featuring Rana and Akki, soon.
The song will be a face-off between the two actors and we hear that this sequence is crucial to the plot as it takes the story forward. We hear that it will be a fun conversation between the protagonist and the antgonist in the form of qawwali.
Rana is presently in the US and the makers are planning to shoot the song once he returns. The song is expected to be shot this month as the makers are looking at an October release.
Rana replaced Nana Patekar after his name emerged in the #MeToo controversy. Interestingly, allegations were also made against the original director of the movie, Sajid Khan for sexually harassing women. As he stepped down, Farhad Samji was roped in to wield the megaphone.
The fourth edition of the hit Housefull franchise also stars Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Riteish Deshmukh among others. The movie will release on October 26.
