Akshay Kumar Gets Finalized For  YRF's Dhoom 4

John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan played the antagonists in the first three installments of one of Yash Raj Films' biggest franchise, Dhoom. Reportedly for the fourth installment of the renowned franchise, names of actors like Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh was doing the rounds, but now, as per latest development, Akshay Kumar has been roped in for the film. An industry insider today on Twitter made the same announcement with a Tweet that reads,

"A highly placed source has revealed that #AkshayKumar has been confirmed for #Dhoom4. Let's wait for official announcement soon."

An official announcement from the makers on the same is expected to be made soon.

Interestingly a similar speculation about Akshay getting roped in for Dhoom 4 was going around last year, but later a statement was published from Aditya Chopra's  Yash Raj Films dismissing such speculations as mere rumors, the statement read,

'The article “Dhoom to get Khiladi’s touch?” printed in today’s Mid-day is absolutely incorrect and baseless. Dhoom is an extremely important franchise for us but currently, we do not have an idea or script for Dhoom 4. "

Meanwhile Twitter is flooded with posts from excited Akshay Kumar fans, who are all excited to see Khiladi Kumar in the celebrated franchise. Some of the Tweets read,

Interesting Akshay has already been roped in for another film, under the same banner. Akshay will be seen in YRF's Prithviraj with Miss World Manushi Chhillar, who is all set to debut with this film. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, this period drama is based on the life and heroism of the fearless king Prithviraj Chauhan, who played an important part in the Indian history. This film is bankrolled by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films, which was officially announced on 9 September 2019, and it will hit the screens on the occasion of Diwali, 13th November 2020.

Akshay has an interesting line up of films in the upcoming year with films like Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif, Laxmmi Bomb with Kiara Advani and Atrangi Re with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.
