Superstars Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan are set to lock horns at the box office on 11th August. Akshay's Raksha Bandhan will be released on the same day as Aamir's Laal Singh Chaddha. Recently, at a song launch event, Akshay Kumar commented on the box office clash and explained how both films can do well.
Speaking on the Laal Singh Chaddha vs Raksha Bandhan clash, Akshay Kumar said, "It's a good week and it has two-three holidays. I think two releases can work easily in one week. The COVID pandemic was there for almost two and a half years, so two or three films being released in a week is inevitable. I remember Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par clashing with my film, Welcome. Both the films did well. So I hope this time, these two films will do well."Starring Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth, Raksha Bandhan is directed by Aanand L. Rai. On the other hand, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, a Hindi adaptation of "Forrest Gump", is helmed by Advait Chandan. Let's wait and watch who wins the battle on August 11th.
