publive-imageBollywood actor Ajay Devgn is making his digital debut with upcoming web series Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness. It's an official Hindi adaptation of Luther starring Idris Elba, which premiered on BBC Studios. The actor will be seen playing a cop in this action thriller. He is currently shooting for the project in Mumbai and will wrap it soon.

Sameer Nair from Applause Entertainment has revealed some exciting and important details about Rudra to a leading media portal. He said, "Rudra is currently in the post production stage. This series will be of six episodes and the length of each episode will be about an hour long. Ajay loved the script. We all know that OTT requires more discipline, time and dates than films and Ajay gave us that. He worked in different shifts."

He continued, "The entire web series was shot for 70 to 75 days, we shot at 15 to 20 live locations all over Mumbai. We have shot a huge portion of Rudra on Green Screen so that we can add special effects later. Instead of drama, we have allowed a show to be based on emotion. It is not like Singham, it is dramatic like Gangaajal."

Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness stars Ajay Devgn, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Raashii Khanna, Hemant Kher and Milind Gunaji. The crime-thriller is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar in 2022.
