Ajay Devgn is playing the role of Indian Air Force officer, Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj Airbase during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The base remained operational despite facing heavy bombing from Pakistan. He was accompanied by 60 defence security corps personnel and 50 air force at the airbase. During the 1971 war, the airstrip of the airport got destroyed as Pakistan dropped bombs on it and it was Karnik, who convinced 300 fearless women from a nearby village to rebuild the airstrip so that flights carrying IAF officers could land safely. Reportedly this the first time Ajay will be seen playing an Air Force Officer on screen and we must say, that the first look is certainly impressive.
