After 'Udaan', Ronit Roy To Play A Strict Father Again In '2 States'

Actor Ronit Roy, who had played the role of Rajat Barmecha's strict father in the critically acclaimed Udaan, will be seen playing a similar role in 2 States, which is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name.

Confirming the news, Ronit said that he will be seen in a guest appearance in the film as Arjun Kapoor's father and that his character will have negative shades. Ronit also revealed that initially when he was approached for the role, he had turned down the offer, but later agreed to give his nod when filmmaker Karan Johar called him up and persuaded him to take up the role.

2 States also stars Alia Bhatt and the film is about a North Indian boy and a Tamil girl, who fall in love and the challenges that they have to face to be together.
