Renowned Pakistani singer Adnan Sami, who had been residing in India since quite some time, has now been directed by Mumbai Police to leave the country as his visa has expired.

Sources claim that Sami has also been asked to present himself before the local police station before leaving the country. The discussion on Sami’s visa was raised before the court during an ongoing court case between Adnan Sami and his ex-wife Sabah Galadari, after Galadari’s lawyer raised the issue of the Pakistani singer’s illegal stay in India. Sami’s visa expired on October 6 this year and his lawyer claims that he has applied for an extension of the same.

Sami, who holds a Pakistani passport, was earlier asked by the Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena (MNCKS), the affiliated group of MNS, to leave India immediately.
