Aditya Roy Kapur To Play Lead In 'Aashiqui 2'

There has been much speculation around the cast of the sequel to the 1990 blockbuster Aashiqui. Reportedly, Aditya Roy Kapoor has been roped in as the lead.

There were reports that the Bhatts may sign fresh faces for Aashiqui 2 and even auditions for the same had been going on. However, looks like Aditya Roy Kapoor has managed to impress Mohit Suri.

The leading lady is yet to be finalized. It appears that there will be two lead couples in the film, a younger one and an older one.

This will be Aditya's first full-fledged film as a lead actor. Earlier he was seen in Hrithik Roshan- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Guzaarish, Salman Khan-Ajay Devgn starrer London Dreams and Akshay Kumar starrer Action Replayy.
