Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon's Adipurush has beaten the first day numbers of Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan. Adipurush collected approx. 140 crore gross on the first day across the globe, emerging as the highest opener of 2023.In January 2023, Pathaan smashed the box office with a huge 105 crore opening day gross at the worldwide ticket windows. Pathaan minted 55 crore nett in Hindi, which Adipurush couldn't surpass. But the worldwide numbers are crossed by a good margin of 30–35 crore.Adipurush had a fantastic opening in Hindi markets, as it collected approximately 35–36 crore nett on the opening day. This is the second biggest opening for any film in Hindi markets in 2023 and the third biggest in the post pandemic era after Pathaan and KGF 2. Adipurush's all-India total is close to 90 crore on the first day.
