In an interview with PeepingMoon, Abhishek explained that Aaradhya — who is 14 years old — does not even own a personal mobile phone. “If her friends want to get in touch with her, they call her mother’s phone,” he said, underscoring a conscious decision the couple made long ago to shield their daughter from the glare of media attention.

Although Aaradhya does have access to the internet for school work, Abhishek believes she is unlikely to stumble upon gossip about her parents. He added that Aishwarya has taught her daughter not to believe everything she reads online. Instead of dwelling on rumours, Aaradhya remains focused on her studies and enjoys a relatively normal childhood under the careful guidance of her parents.

Abhishek dismissed the ongoing divorce chatter as “rubbish, vicious and incorrect,” stressing that much of the speculation is fabricated and irresponsible. He expressed disappointment at how content about his family — especially his daughter — is often misused, a concern serious enough that the family sought and won legal protection for their personal rights.

Despite the constant media scrutiny, the Bachchans seem determined to preserve normalcy and protect Aaradhya’s childhood.
