Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal Khan is all set to make his directorial debut with his next, ‘Factory’. The actor turned director recently revealed in an interview, that he will also be lending his voice for the film, which will mark his debut as a singer. He further stated that both Aamir and his mother, Zeenat Khan is aware about his second innings in Bollywood with ‘Factory’, but what they are unaware about is his decision to turn into a director and singer with this film. He added that he wanted to surprise them with the news after finishing one schedule of the film.
Faisal further stated that direction was always in his mind but this time it happened organically, as the original director of the film, Sharique Minhaj was facing date issue, which made him step out of the film. This made him decide to step in as the director of the film to fill in Sharique’s absence. He also added that he had no plan to turn into a singer but it was Sharique who insisted him on singing for the film.
Faisal Khan made his acting debut by playing a minor role as a villain in Aamir's film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. He has also worked as an assistant director in his late father, Tahir Hussain’s 1990 film, ‘Tum Mere Ho’. Reportedly Aamir and Faisal was said to share a frosty relationship. When in 2008, Faisal was said to be undergoing treatment for schizophrenia and he accused Aamir of getting him treated without his consent, giving him wrong medicines and keeping him under house arrest.
‘Factory’ will be an action thriller, which will also star Roaleey Ryan, Raj Kumar Kanojya, Ribbhu Mehra and Sharad Singh. It is slated to release in early 2020.
