Andaz Apna Apna is a celebrated comedy in Bollywood, but its box office results are very poor. The film was a flop in the original release, and fans had some expectations from its re-release. However, they have been disappointed yet again by its poor performance.

Rajkumar Santoshi's star-studded comedy was released without adequate promotions, and then the Pahalgam tragedy led to a restricted premiere with the absence of the leading actors. That wouldn't have helped the film anyway, as the advance booking was low at the time. The film collected 85 lakhs nett in the opening weekend of its re-release, which was lower than its opening weekend business during its original release in 1994. This explains why it is a big flop yet again.

Andaz Apna Apna did not see much of a hold during weekdays and ended its first week with a total of over Rs. 1 crore nett. However, it might come as a shock that the film has seen some decent occupancy on Friday evening, and the advance booking for Saturday evening was also quite decent. But sadly, it is just a story of a few screens, and the film does not have enough screens to generate decent numbers, with Raid 2 running successfully in the majority of screens and Kesari Chapter 2 maintaining its audience in multiplexes.
