In a recent interview with the BBC, Aamir opened up about his dream project, Mahabharata, and explained why he hasn’t been able to make it for years. The Dangal actor also mentioned that he is scared of making Mahabharata because it’s a very large undertaking, and you cannot afford to go wrong with it.

“Well, that’s my dream project and it’s a very scary endeavor. It’s so huge, and I am afraid of getting it wrong. It’s a significant responsibility because, as Indians, it’s something so close to us; it’s in our blood. I want to get it right. I want to make every Indian proud. I also want to showcase to the world what India has. I don’t know if it will happen, but it’s something I want to strive towards. So let’s see,” Aamir told the portal.

This is not the first time Aamir has expressed such sentiments. Previously, he had similar fears but remained hopeful about completing Mahabharata in the future. Let's wait and see if it really happens in Indian cinema or not—with Aamir or without Aamir.
