Aamir Khan Attends His Rickshaw Driver Friend's Son's Wedding

It must have indeed been a dream wedding for rickshaw driver Ram Lakhan Paswan aka Nathuni's son Rajeev, when none other than superstar Aamir Khan, decked in blue denim and white shirt, graced the humble event.

Aamir met Nathuni during the promotions of his film 3 Idiots in 2009, in Varanasi. And when recently the rick driver invited him for his son's marriage, the 47-year-old actor readily agreed.

Aamir blessed the bride and the groom, amidst a lot of chaos as everyone wanted to get a glimpse of Khan. On being quizzed if he's attended the wedding to promote his debut TV show Satyamev Jayate, which also revolves around the common man, Mr. Perfectionist denied.

"This is the wedding of my friend Ram Lakhan Paswan's son. I have not come here to promote any upcoming serial or movie. I am here to attend the ceremony. I met Ram lakhan during the promotion of 3 Idiots and he came to my house to invite me for the wedding one year ago. I wish the bride and groom the very best. Especially the bride," Aamir was quoted saying.

"Varanasi is my mother's birthplace. The place is dear to me and I share a special relationship with it," said Khan, who located his maternal grandmother's house, with Lakhan's help in 2009.

"I just want Aamir sir's well wishes and nothing else. All my life, I will maintain and cherish this relationship," stated an overjoyed Lakhan.
