After a patriotic drama and a romantic comedy, Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan are teaming up for a comedy franchise. Dharma Productions will be producing a high-concept creature comedy with Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, confirms a report from Pinkvilla.

Now, the latest report in Mid-Day suggests that it will be a creature comedy centered around the theme of "Snake." It will be a trilogy. Fukrey's Mrighdeep Singh Lamba will be helming the ambitious project produced under Dharma's banner.

"The film will be directed by Mrighdeep Lamba, who previously helmed the Fukrey franchise. The actor and director have demonstrated their command over comedy in their respective projects, and with the yet-untitled movie, they will venture into the relatively unexplored space of creature comedy. Hindi television has famously tackled the theme of naagin. Now, it will be interesting to see a subject that was popular in Hindi films in the 1980s returning to the silver screen," a source close to the development confirmed to the media portal.

Kartik is already collaborating with KJO for a romantic comedy set to release on Valentine's Day 2026, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Ananya Panday, as well as a patriotic drama by Sandeep Modi. Now, this creature comedy makes it a hat-trick for the Dharma-KA duo.
