A Case Against Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn & Ranveer Singh For Promoting Gutka

Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh have been brought in a legal soup for promoting tobacco products. A case has been filed against these four for promoting tobacco and pan masala products through ads.

A social activist named Tamaana Hashmi, from Muzaffarpur, has taken legal steps against the Btown superstars. The case has been filed under sections 467, 468, 439 and 120B. The major point in the report says, "misusing their popularity for promoting gutka only in the greed of money".

Amitabh Bachchan terminated his contract with a chewing tobacco brand in October 2021. Ranveer appeared in the Kamla Pasand advertisement with Mr. Bachchan, while Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan continue featuring in the Vimal Elaichi advertisement. Akshay Kumar, who had recently joined the Vimal universe with SRK and Ajay, has officially quit the campaign.
