600 Marathas Vs Aurangzeb: Ankit Mohan To Play The Lead in Ramshej

Popular Marathi and Hindi TV actor Ankit Mohan will be seen playing the lead role in the upcoming historical action drama "Ramshej". Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established Hindu Swarajya, and his warriors fought for him without giving a damn to fear of death. Even after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's death, the mawalas continued to fight against the Mughals. One of those brave, unknown tales is the battle of Fort Ramshej, near Nashik.

Celebrating the 350th coronation day of Shiva Rajyabhishek, Almonds Creations Production has announced the grand historical Marathi film "Ramshej". After the success of "Fatteshikast" and "Pawankhind", while "Muraarbaaji" is still in the making, producers Ajay Aarekar and Anirudh Aarekar are coming up with their fourth historical, "Ramshej".

After Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's demise, Aurangzeb expressed his intention to expand his kingdom by conquering the forts of Maharashtra, and the first fort on his radar was 'Ramshej' fort. But he couldn't conquer this fort because 600 brave Mawlas guarded it fiercely, and with Ramshej, the makers are eyeing bringing this story to the big screen.
