Mumbai police have revealed important new details in the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s home in Juhu. According to the ongoing investigation, at least five rounds of 7.62 mm bullets were fired at the entrance of his residence late on the night of February 1. These bullets were recovered from the scene and are now being examined by forensic teams to learn more about the weapon used.

The 7.62 mm calibre is powerful and usually used in rifles. Police are trying to find out exactly which variant was used in this attack. So far, no injuries have been reported.

Early investigations by the Mumbai Crime Branch suggest that the firing may be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a well-known criminal group. The police believe the shooter was not alone and that others may have helped plan and carry out the attack. Several suspects have already been arrested in Pune for their possible role in transporting the scooter used in the incident.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect arriving on a scooter, firing the shots, and then fleeing the area. The Mumbai police have stepped up security around the Singham maker’s residence and are continuing efforts to trace the main shooter, who remains at large.

Police are also investigating a threatening social media post claiming responsibility in the name of the gang, but officials say its authenticity is still being verified. The case remains under active investigation as authorities work to uncover more facts.
