5 Arrested Rohit Shetty House Firing Case:

Police have arrested five people in connection with the firing incident outside Bollywood director-producer Rohit Shetty’s home in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The arrests came hours after the incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, February 1, when several shots were fired at the building. Thankfully, no one was injured.

According to law enforcement sources, the Mumbai Crime Branch and Pune Police worked together based on intelligence and CCTV footage to track down the suspects in Pune. The five men — identified as Aman Anand Marote (27), Aditya Gyaneshwar Gayaki (19), Siddharth Deepak Yenpure (20), Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji (18), and Swapnil Bandu Sakat (23) — were detained and handed over to Mumbai Police for further questioning.

Police believe the accused were involved in planning and facilitating the attack. Investigators say the group arranged the scooter used during the incident and helped carry out the act. They have been linked to a wanted gangster, Shubham Lonkar, who is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Lonkar is also an accused in the high-profile murder case of former NCP leader Baba Siddique.

In the hours after the firing, a social media post claiming to represent members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang appeared online. The message said the firing was a warning and referred to previous warnings that the filmmaker had ignored. Police are verifying the authenticity of the post and whether the gang truly issued it.
