One of the finest classics from the 1980s decade, Pushpaka Vimana, turns 35 today. Reminding us of Charles Chaplin's silent classics, the film was a satirical take on multiple issues our nation faced in the 1980s. It also redefined the black comedy genre since we didn't have many classics except for Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983).
Among the great directors I have worked with Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is the youngest till date. Our endeavour called Pushpak is now older than us it is 35 years old.Sir we have to keep our art young can't allow it to age.I know you would chuckle,it is one of my favourite music.

Pushpaka Vimana tells the story of an unemployed graduate (played by Kamal Haasan) who encounters a drunk rich man unconscious and takes over his lifestyle after keeping him prisoner. However, he does not realise the dangers he has brought upon himself because a hired killer believes him to be his target. It received critical acclaim and became a commercial success, with a 35-week theatrical run in Bangalore. The film won the National Film Award for "Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment."
