Superman India Box Office: 

Hollywood strikes again at the Indian box office! The newly released superhero film Superman, featuring David Corenswet as the iconic meta human, has taken a fair start in India, collecting a good total of ₹7 crore nett on day one. The film has easily outperformed the two major Bollywood releases of the week—Maalik starring Rajkummar Rao and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan featuring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor.

This isn’t the first time a Hollywood release has dominated local content. Just a few weeks ago, Brad Pitt’s racing drama F1 The Movie defeated Kajol’s emotional mother-daughter horror drama Maa at the box office. Warner Bros. India seems to be on a winning streak, with recent hits like Final Destination Bloodlines and F1 making a mark with Indian audiences.

As you all can guess, Superman will have a dominating weekend and is well on track to cross ₹30 crore nett in its opening weekend. With strong word-of-mouth and little direct competition, the film could easily fly past the ₹50 crore nett mark during the weekdays. It looks like another success story for Warner Bros. in the Indian market.
