When a film has a title that goes as Veerey Ki Wedding, you expect celebrations galore in the music as well. Multiple composers, lyricists and singers come together to create five songs for this Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Jimmy Sheirgill film that has Asshu Trikha as the director.

veerey-2The manner in which composer Farzan Faaiz kick-starts the proceedings for 'Mind Blowing', you get an impression of a Salman Khan 'tapori' number in the offering. Deepak Noor and Chandan Bakshi's lyrics too pretty much suit the genre and hence once Mika Singh renders this in good form, you know that this one is an out and out 'masala' package in the making. Pulkit and Kriti perform well, hence ensuring that the song and its video turn out to be equally entertaining for the masses.

veerey-3Those up north are pretty much aware of the superhit Haryanvi number 'Hatt Ja Tau' that has been playing for years now. No celebration or wedding is complete without this song playing in the farmhouses in the Delhi NCR region and since the film too has this setting, it is not at all surprising to hear composer Jaidev bringing on the film version with Sunidhi Chauhan taking the lead. Dr Devendra Kafir, Ramkesh Jiwanpurwala and Chandan Bakshi come together for the lyrics of 'Hatt Ja Tau' that also features Sapna Chaudhary of Big Boss fame.

veerey-4Title track Veerey Ki Wedding comes next and this one has Ashok Punjabi step in as the composer while also pairing up with Chandan Bakshi to write the lyrics. This is yet another celebration number in the album and this time around there is an out and out Punjabi flavor to it, courtesy the manner in which Navraj Hans sings this one along with Saloni Thakkar. There is no dull moment in this foot tapping number that may not be the next chartbuster in the making but still does well in holding your attention during its playing time.

veerey-5A club track comes in next, what with Meet Bros composing and singing 'Talli Tonight'. For the first time in the soundtrack, the music shifts towards Western base and with a good dose of electronic sound coming into play. Kumaar is the lyricist for this entertaining piece that has a good hook to it and makes you recollect the play after the first listening itself. Neha Kakkar does well as Meet Bros' singing partner while Deep Money's rap portions are appropriate too.

After delivering 'Mind Blowing', composer Farzan Faaiz returns with 'Na Kasoor'. He shifts genres with this Javed Ali and Akanksha Bhandari sung number which is a romantic piece with lyricist Faaiz Anwar aiming to make it a mushy outing. A reasonably passable number where you don't mind listening to what plays in those four and a half minutes, it is fine as long as it lasts.

The music of Veerey Ki Wedding is a fair soundtrack that does well for the celebratory mood it wishes to create. It may not have a series of chartbusters going for it but then you don't turn away from any of the songs either.
